Bryce Bergman wins local Tiny Tots Contest!

From January to May, I offered Tiny Tots photo sessions at my studio in Falmouth and the images have been submitted to the national Tiny Tots photo contest with a chance to win a $100 savings bond or Toys 'R' Us gift certificate. I expanded the contest to include a local winner as well. I held a business display at Sovereign Bank in Pocasset for the past two weeks and Bryce Bergman was voted as the local winner. He wins a $50 gift certificate along with Ginny Rose of Bourne who chose Bryce as her favorite. Congratulations Bryce, Gillian and Lance! and to grandparents Donna and Robert LaMarche!

My latest new customer, Dylan and his mom came in to the studio today. I have never heard a one year old laugh out loud like that before. He was so cute. It made my day!

Sam and Maggie came to visit!

Sam and Maggie came today to have their pictures taken. Their  grandparents, my neighbors, Bob and Donna brought them and we had a good time--especially when the smarties came out! They are going to be entered in the "Tiny Tots" National photo contest. It is going to be hard to pick just a couple of images! Afterwards, I followed them to the playground that is across the street from my studio.

Emily's First Communion

Spring time is a time of renewal and rebirths. One of my favorite clients, Emily is having her First Communion on May 1 and came in to have her pictures taken. She really looked beautiful ad was a lot of fun to work with. We can't wait to see the finished pictures!

Is her secret that she just turned one? You know women don't like to reveal their age? Hmm, I think Lauren knows that A New Outlook Photography is part of a nationwide photography contest! Do you think her parents will enter her?? I hope so? I hope lots of other parents bring in their beautiful children too!

Alas, it's almost the end of January! It has been a busy month and I am glad it has gone by quickly. I was able to get out of the cold for a week and visit Rincon, Puerto Rico. Tried some surfing and got to go swimming everyday. It is nice, especially when your only decision is where and what you're going to eat for dinner! And I survived the surfing--although I was sore and I'd like to try it again sometime. This month, I have been catching up on all my stuff-revamping my work, doing my financials and renewing my spirit and taking personal photos.
I walked Herring Cove Beach Thursday in the cold and snow and watched the wind whip the waves into a frenzy! It was definitely different than walking the shores of Rincon! The beach was deserted except for a solitary figure with a metal detector. I hope some treasure was found! For me, the treasure was the ability to enjoy nature and take some artistic photographs. After I go back to the car, I witnessed a flock of seagulls diving for food that a stranger had fed them. It was a cool way to end my walk!
Looking ahead, February brings Valentine's Day, the start of the photo contest and I am teaching some classes at the studio. I entered Tiny Tots to Teens Children's photo Contest (details SOON). I have reserved six Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm starting February 10th. I will be teaching a basic class for point and shoot photographers, (2 classes), a one night Photography skills for Businesses, and a four week class on furthering your photography skills.
